BMW Motorrad ConnectedRide:
• Whether using BMW ConnectedRide products or your smartphone, the ConnectedRide Navigator connects all
devices and media applications in one device. This is why the navigation, telephone, and media function screens
are grayed out on the TFT display of the motorcycle and these functions become clearly displayed on the
ConnectedRide Navigator once an active connection between the motorcycle and Navigator is established.
• Thanks to BMW Motorrad Cloud Integration and your BMW ID, you synchronize all routes, recordings and plans
between the Navigator and BMW Connected app.
Navigation:
• Waypoints: The ConnectedRide Navigator uses waypoint-based navigation, so it always guides you to the nearest
waypoint. You can define how to reach the nearest waypoints in the routing criteria. If a defined waypoint will not
be passed, it can be actively skipped.
• Route points: Route points are points that are chiefly defined by planning tools for defining the route in detail in
advance. When an intermediate point is passed, the ConnectedRide Navigator guides you on to the next route
point. Here it is not necessary to skip Via points.
• Track: A track is a series of many Track points along a route. The route is drawn on the map only without
instructions. If you navigate with a track, you will see the track on the map and your own position. As rider, you
can decide which path you want to take to follow the route. Tracks are primarily used for following predefined
journeys (e.g., from online planning tools or a journey that has been shared from another rider).
• GPX files: Import and export gpx data by using the BMW Connected app or a USB-C cable with your computer.
Connectivity hub:
• A central location where all connections (WiFi, Bluetooth) are displayed and managed:
- Smartphone
- Rider’s communication system
- Passenger’s communication system
